Nick grew up in Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire and studied Environmental Biology at University of West of Scotland for 4 years. Following his undergraduate work Nick achieved a Master of Research Degree in Ecology & Environmental Biology from the University of Glasgow, where he specialised in mammal ecology. Nick has worked all over Scotland on a wide variety of development projects both large and small scale. He is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), and full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (CIEEM), and also holds Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) Species licences for bats, badgers and great crested newt.
