Raised on the Isle of Arran, Emily developed an interest in a career in acoustics whilst studying her BEng at the University of Glasgow when she became Head of Technical at Subcity Radio (the university’s freeform student radio station). After working in her spare time as a live sound engineer, she decided to take things further by completing an MSc in Audio Acoustics from the University of Salford. Over the years she has acquired a range of experience in different aspects of acoustic consultancy from industrial and commercial noise impact assessments and modelling to acoustics in schools, offices and concert halls.
In her spare time, Emily can usually be found taking part in archery competitions, playing netball or touch rugby, attending ice hockey games or playing the saxophone. She also has a keen interest in art and silversmithing.
