Clare studied Geography & Landscape Architecture at Newcastle University, and has worked extensively in the north of the England, Scotland, and across the UK.

Clare has a variety of experience in landscape and visual assessment for a wide range of projects, including wind farms, mineral, urban, highways and industrial developments. As part of the LVIA process her experience includes landscape design and mitigation proposals, landscape character assessment, the consideration of landscape capacity, and involvement in the design iteration process of the development to achieve a ‘best fit’ for the proposed development.

Clare also has experience as a landscape witness at public inquiry. She enjoys public engagement and the consultation process of EIA through face to face consultations, public exhibition days, and school consultation.

Clare is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (2000) and a member of the Landscape Institute’s Rural Landscapes Working Group.

Clare spends her spare time with her family & friends, and enjoys time outdoors (usually with a camera), to be found at the coast or in the hills. On those days when the weather does not allow playing outside Clare is trying to hone her knitting skills, this is an ongoing process ……
