Caroline was born and raised in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, before studying Zoology for 4 years at the University of Sheffield. After graduation Caroline worked in Inverness, living in a remote log cabin for the Scottish Wildlife Trust, followed by a 3 month stint camping on a Northumberland beach for the National Trust. Once her interest in Ecology was peaked, Caroline worked for various companies in the north of England before moving to Oxfordshire from where she covered the entirety of Southern England. Caroline specialises in ecology for the built environment and believes in a pragmatic approach to survey work and mitigation. She understands that development can become a positive for biodiversity.

As well as being interested in all things animal, Caroline plays Roller Derby. Caroline spends her spare time converting her garden into a wildlife haven, cooking big meals for the family and exploring Yorkshire.
