Professional Practice Guidance (ProPG): Planning & Noise – New Residential Development.
22 June 2017
The Institute of Acoustics has today (June 22) released its Professional Practice Guidance (ProPG): Planning & Noise – New Residential Development. This guidance is intended to support the noise aspects of the National planning Policy Framework and Noise Policy Statement for England by promoting Good Acoustic Design.
Surface Acoustic Consultants will be reviewing this guidance over the coming week(s) to identify how we can deliver its recommendations in as cost-effective a manner as possible. This will allow us to continue to provide client-focussed advice to developers of new housing, maximising the chances of planning consent whilst minimising costs and ensuring comfortable living conditions for future residents.
The ProPG is available at http://www.ioa.org.uk/publications/propg
